St. Patrick’s Day fare doesn’t all have to be about Shamrock Shakes and green beer – there are so many other wonderful ways to partake in a gastronomical celebration of the man who drove all the snakes out of Ireland (yup – that was St. Patrick).

Here’s an idea for some family fun – who says that only the Easter Bunny can hide candy around your house for your kids to find? Start a new tradition and tell your kids that a leprechaun hid his pot of gold somewhere in the house and it’s up to them to find it! Take an empty 1/2 gallon ice cream tub (cleaned and dried, of course) and wrap it in black construction paper to create your pot. Then fill the pot with yummy milk chocolate coins wrapped in shiny gold foil. Your kids will love this treasure hunt and seeing who can find the Pot O’ Gold first.
