Cinco de Mayo Dessert Table Party Ideas!
April 18, 2012 2 CommentsCinco de Mayo is only a few weeks away (and it’s on a Saturday this year – party on!), so it’s time to start planning your fiesta! A Mexican themed party is a super easy color-scheme to work with – stick to red, white and green (to go with the Mexican flag) for your main colors and add in a little yellow and orange to spice things up. Party City has an amazing collection of Cinco de Mayo decorations, like these cool colorful margarita glasses and this awesome fiesta costume party kit.
The best thing about a Cinco de Mayo party (other than the bottomless margaritas, of course) is the really cool options for a candy buffet. Here are our recommendations:
- Mexican Hat Gummies
- Red Licorice Laces (you can label them as “lassos”)
- Red Hots
- Red, Green, White and Bright Yellow Milkies
- White Yogurt Covered Raisins
- El Bubble Gum Cigars
- Teenee Beanee Lemon Jelly Beans
- Teenee Beanee Apple Jelly Beans
- Teenee Beanee Orange Jelly Beans
And here are some pictures to give you extra inspiration!

Love the ideas!! I think I’ll give them a try this weekend! I’m throwing a Cinco party that should be lots of fun…got this super-cute little mini sombreros from a local store, stocked up on tequila, have all the salsas anyone could ever want…I think we’re just about ready! A dessert buffet is going to make a great addition, I hope!
That’s great – so glad you might use some of our ideas. If you do have a dessert buffet with candy, send us some photos and we might use them here on the blog!
