Product Hightlight: Bonomo Turkish Taffy!

The original “Smack It and Crack It” candy is back!

Invented by Herman Herrer at the turn of the 20th century, Turkish Taffy was a staple of Coney Island and eventually candy shoppes across America for much of the last century.  In 1972 the Tootsie Roll Industries purchased Bonomo Turkish Taffy and shortly after changed the 60-year-old tried-and-true recipe to create a softer taffy texture, and for many years we were no longer able to enjoy the original Bonomo Turkish Taffy recipe.  In 2002, Kenny Wiesen and Jerry Sweeney successful bought the rights to Bonomo Turkish Taffy and relaunched the brand in 2010!
