Kid In a Candy StoreJuly 28, 2010 No Comments
If you are a dedicated Food Network follower like me, you’ve no doubt seen the commercials for or even watched the Food Network’s new show, Kid in a Candy Store with Adam Gertler. In Monday night’s episode (8pm, eastern time) Gertler visits the Peeps & Company Retail Store in National Harbor, Maryland and Sinfully Sweet Apple Company in California. The Peeps store was a delight to watch Gertler tour, as he discovered not only chocolate covered Peeps, but Peepsters, mini-Peeps covered in chocolate.
Sinfully Sweet Apple Company made my mouth water. Located in Laverne, California, Sinfully Sweet offers gourmet caramel apples in a wide variety of categories, such as candy bar (offering Reese’s, Butterfinger, Almond Joy, Snickers, S’mores, Toffee Crunch, and Twix), classic (Apple Pie, Cookies & Cream, Birthday, Pecan Pie, Confetti, Dark Chocolate Almond, and New York Cheesecake), and gourmet, with more unique flavor combinations like Blue Hawaiian, Avalanche, Butterscotch Pecan, Campfire, Cherry Chocolate Chip, Elvis, and Phantom of the Apple.
If you ask me, this gourmet caramel apple shop is definitely worth the trip!
