Presidential PreferencesJuly 21, 2010 No Comments
The summer always makes me feel rather patriotic, which makes me think about our country and its leaders. Probably because of the holidays which celebrate the ideals upon which our country stands… In any event, I did a little research on what candy our Presidents prefer (past and present) and here’s a short list:
George Washington: It’s true, he loved anything cherry.
John Kennedy: Reportedly loved chocolate.
Jimmy Carter: He grew them, and yes he loved to eat them – peanuts.
George W. Bush: Loved M&Ms.
Bill Clinton: No wonder he loved McDonald’s – he’s allergic to milk and chocolate.
President Obama: Seems to love salted caramels.
Ronald Reagan: He had the most obvious candy passion, jelly beans. In fact, the Blueberry flavor was created for his presidential inauguration in 1981!Tags: President's Favorite Candy, Sweet City CandyCandy History
